So here's the Thundercat. It needs a proper clean down, and there's some scratches on the RH fairing which will have to be patched and re-vinyled at some point, but right now I'm just happy to have it. I've gotten 100mph so far, which is OK considering it's got a partially seized throttle cable Laughing and I accidentally popped a little wheelie setting off. Embarassed Brown trouser moment there.

You might also notice I don't have any grips on it - I'm so poor now, I don't have £7 to pay for a pair! Laughing

Looks alright. A little tatty but it gives you something to do hey. Thats the kind of bike im looking for, for the work - home - home - work run.

Laughing I actually scraped together £6 and went to buy some today. They're not great, but they'll do for now, until I get some heated ones, possibly.

Thats a rough lookin bike mate Wink you should be able to get it spruced up for very little, ive got one that needs a bit of tlc as well.

Check ebay for a new side fairing, they're always a couple on there, top fairing should be fixable. Please get some black mirrors as well Smile

Tcats do the job, crackin bikes.

yeah i agree, as soon as i read that, it made a lot of sense although it hadnt occurred to me

maybe a light smoke screen instead of the red one, if one comes up on ebay

Actually, the red screen is growing on me. Embarassed Laughing

I do agree about the mirrors though, they are in abundance on eBay, but they're going for about £50 a set, so they can wait! Shocked

Took it for a nice little hoon half an hour ago; the throttle cable seems to have freed up entirely since I put the grips on. Thinking 120mph with my visor open a crack makes my eyes water like hell, I can feel it dried onto my face. Laughing

Link pipe and exhaust off - Treat to a hefty dose of autosol.

Touch up paint for the red bits on the fairing. Won't mask it completely but better than showing it eh Very Happy

Paint the backing of those mirrors!!!

You've got a good one there, an excellent one for the moeny. Tiny bit of work and she'll be gleaming.

Well there was some mechanical work that needed doing when I bought it, so I had to pay for that too. But the major cost was new chain and sprockets, and the labour to fit them. I'm not touhcing anything that important. Laughing

Throttle has just sorted itself out now, but there is a problem with 1st gear that makes me think it hasn't actually been jetted for the can. Thinking
