Just seen the advert this morning Thumbs Up It's really good. It shows a biker on a typical Sunday ride and all of the hazards are pointed out to him that would otherwise not be seen, ie "Fresh Cowpat Ahead", "About to turn right" on the back of a van, "Tractor About To Pull Out on You" and manages to get home safely but then get's shat on by a bird for some reason Laughing Confused

I think the message there is that while things can occasionally go wrong through sheer chance and bad luck, the thinking rider can lengthen the odds in his or her favour by using some judgement and consideration about what they're doing while riding.

Certainly looks like it. The biker reminds me of Jasper Carrot.

Obviously some can't be prevented, but the cow pat one is a common enough problem. Not cow though but horse. Dog owners get fined for leaving a mess on pavement, but not horse riders and their mess actually can kill!

Now I DO like horses and believe all users have equal right to use the road. Horses in fact may have more right than some as after all the roads were only Tarmac'd thanks to them in the far gone past..... but it's all very well telling us bikers to watch out for the hazard's but it seems to me that adverts of that kind put the blame on us for making the hazard become a problem.....

They don't need to do anything about it then. Notice mud on the road wasn't featured?

Agree...all horse riders should carry a large plastic bag and have to clear their mess up of the road should their horse take a dump on it...it would make the roads a safer place Thumbs Up
