Any tips for preventing wind from getting through the visor?

My g/f has a Nitro helmet and she gets sore eyes from the wind coming in through the top of the visor. Is there any way of improving the seal? Like putting some foam tape on the very top of the visor or something?

I know you get those sleeve things you put on the bottom of the helmet but I'm not convinced it would work for this.

Put a layer of gaffa tape on top of the rubber.

Lift the visor all the way up, and squeeze it in with both hands at the side, whilst pushing it back down. They sometimes pop out at the side on nitros. Mine does it occasionally.

I have a nitro helmet too and well, I get wind coming in through the top, only on the left hand side though.

I find if I close the top vent when i'm riding after a few minutes the wind does go, only downfall is gets abit stuffy.

Might try the gaffa tape idea though Thumbs Up

Close the vents?

My nitro blows air in my eyes with a certain combination of vents, don't think it does it otherwise.

I find If I wear my neck tube it fills the gap a bit around the bottom of the helmet and reduces the draught coming through, which in turn stops it getting to your eyes.

You could also try a bit of the thin self adhesive window draught excluder foam strip stuck along the top inside edge of the visor.

just been informed off joe tek that the nitro helmet has a screw in the centre of the lil plastic thing that the visor attatches to, this screws to the actual helmet so its adjustable,

if you loosten the screw a biut and pull it back and downwards on both sides then tighten the screw the visor will be as tight as buggery,

carefull playing will have it snug as a bug,

I had the same problem with my agv helmet untill the shop pointed this out to me ...

hope that helps

Wear shades Cool

Today I experienced the pain of a bug of some sort hitting me directly between the eyes at 50mph on the way home from a mates house.

That will teach me to ride with an open visor...
