im a bit curious how tatto gets all these bikes cheap enough so that he can still sell them at reasonable prices and make a profit.

they seem good value though

some people do cover the bike in a garage to stop it getting dusty ect, i dont have to explain anything anyways, you either want it or not, this is the only forum i use where a minority of people slag bikes/people off in there for sale posts. very petty.

Yes leave the guy alone and stop trying to ruin his sale Rolling Eyes

So what if he does sell lots of bikes, it doesn't mean the bikes crap.

It really annoys me when people who aren't interested in the sale criticises the item.

At the end of the day its a good price for a hornet, so let the guy try and sell it.

mr.tattoo if I was you I would start a new thread as the comments above aren't going to help you Thumbs Up

Personally what I would do if I was mr tatoo would be to put in hsi advert:

IF INTERESTED EMAIL ME AT....I WILL NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD

Pity its not possible to lock your own threads in this section, that would help. Think he's already sold it on VD anyway Thumbs Up

i agree, in fact i posted this suggestion a while ago on the forum changes suggestions section

all who agree can go say so there

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=76834

I might well want to sell a bike on here one day so Id appreciate it if that was in place by then.

Look, Chriss was hardly bitching about the bike. I thought bikers appreciated other bikers looking out for them...why would he slag off something if it was the genuine article? A grand for that bike was pretty good, or so he thought.
What he was disputing was that the bike was not as advertised. He was hardly slagging it off, just warning other people to check the bikes themselves before they buy them rather than believe what they are told. If you say something is clean, then find out yourself it is not, then thats false advertising, and personally I'd rather know to double check it myself than have someone in the know keep quiet for risk of having everyone on the forum whinge about them.
Oh well, guess other people will find out for themselves rather than bitching about someone who learned the hard way.
Oh and mark_petty...the fact he sells a lot of bikes doesn't mean they are crap...its the fact that the bikes in question are not as advertised and so faulty that make them crap Thumbs Up

xlizx when you go to look at a bike you should look over it completely and if you find something wrong with it walk away.
You can't come back moaning after something goes wrong with it. If you want to do that can I suggest you buy from a garage with some warranty.
I'm afraid there will always be a risk buying privately.
I personally always buy my bikes/cars privately because I can't justify paying a garage more. I just make sure I look over them and also get a friend to help as well.

casting vague aspersions on someones reputation as a seller is also another reason why selling threads should be lockable by the seller
