I was just told by a friend that after ive passed my full car test i can ride my 50cc without L plates and with a passenger?

can anyone spread anymore light on this please?

I think that was if you past your car test before 1997 or something.

It's not like being able to ride a 50 or 125 is hard anyway, CBT.

Yep, that's right - but only after you've done a CBT (unless you passed before Feb 1 2001). The 2 year expiry on the CBT doesn't apply and it lasts forever for the moped (but not for a 125cc).

Sorry im confused.

I will have my full car lisence by december this year. I already have a CBT.

I understand i will need to re-do my cbt after ive passed my car test to allow me to ride my 50cc without L plates and carrying a pillion. is this correct or not?

Right basically if you have a full car licence and have taken a CBT, you will have full moped entitlement, which lets you take a pillion & ride without L-Plates.

Not for riding a moped, but you will if you decide to ride a 125+.
