I love the number plate best of all

Should hear it popping off on the over-run though, the noise is actually scary

Looks ok in the first pic, but the closeup shots look a bit hashed-together.

I'd tell him to get a better calculator because I can't see where he's spent 12K.

From the pictures the exhausts look slightly out of alignment (not level, one looks lower than the other and yes, I know its on a side stand, but look again closely) and the sticker job looks wrong.

If he was going to spend that much he should have had it sprayed red to match the Virgin Yam BSB bikes, not left it blue.

Looks more like a track bike that's had a little piece of yellow tape stuck to the back of it be honest.

Basically, he bought it, crashed it, and then rebuilt it using "the best bits" from various years of R1s. He merged 2 complete bikes into one good one, so he says. I'm no expert on them though, so couldn't tell you what bits are off what bike. The headlights don't look like the 98 ones, though..

The frame isn't the original one either, that's sat in a corner of the garage along with another set of wheels.

It's had a lot of engine mods by his reconing, too.

It does look rough in that close up, but thats more dirt than roughness of the paintwork.

Anyway, it looks nice up close, and the front tyre must last for quite a while because it's very rarely on the road
