Dunno if this will help but my mate just got a secondhand Husaberg 650 supermoto and it's a real bugger to start so don't be put off it doesn't start first kick. His has the kick start on the left hand side by the way which we thought was a bit weird and it feels unnatural to kick over but I guess you'd get used to that over time.

Apart from that make sure you hear it running and listen carefully for any knocks or rattles that shouldn't be there and take it for a quick spin.

If you're in any doubt about it though, walk away!

Insist on a test ride. Check all the gears engage smoothly enough, and don't jump out when riding. If they do, then it may have some expensive issues.

General bits like brake pad and disk wear, chain and sprocket condition. I wouldn't let things like these being worn put me off, but would budget for replacements in the price I paid for the bike.

Have a check for any gouges or creases in the frame, if there are, walk away. Also the obligatory frame and engine number check. If they don't match what's on the V5, don't even consider it. A guy I know on another forum just went through a 18 month nightmare because he didn't check these!

Hope all goes well. Thumbs Up

ive had bad experiences with ktbooms and husabangs so cant recomend them, ok there the quickest but too much grief for me. there ok for a sunny day bike but no good for a general comuter, get a ktboom lc4 or duke 2 for that, there heavey, dull and slow but a bit more reliable than other models, or go for a drz or ccm for a good hack, both bullit proof and quite good fun, just as slow as the lc4/duke Laughing supermotos are ment to be a fun bike hence most are highly strung competition bikes, quite a few decent comuter models out now though, good luck.. Very Happy
