Depends on how often you'll be rideing it...
TL-1000 get my vote, if its had suspension tweaks bonus and a better steering damper is a defenate plus (from what i've been told from previous tl owners)
Its the only one i'd expect to work if it rains ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

Power delivery is different, a litre 4 will be a howling beast the power just goes up and up, a twin will feel allot more punchy.. (allthough an inline four is generally the same power/torque at low/mid as a twin, but the delivery is different)
Personal preferance mostly, speed dosn't really come into unless your on a track or extreemly good allready.. ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

Tuono's are nice, but it sounds like he's after that sports bike look!
As for power delivery, the last 4 cylinder bike I rode was great fun, power built steadily up to 6000rpm as you would expect, then got a bit more mental the more gas you gave it!
My TL-R builds tremendous amounts of power from nine-hundred RPM and keeps going. The torque of the motor is awesome, it's like the power band is at 900rpm with another around 9000rpm.
You only have to let the clutch out without touching the throttle and it moves off, often catching the car in front. You can sit in second gear at 40 rpm without touching the throttle and it just keeps pulling. I love it!
Plus, the noise on race cans is awesome! ____________________ TL1000R Parts For Sale! |

Cheers guys, this all helps.
I love the idea of the torque at low revs, so i think a v twin is for me. Now i need to decide which, the front of a VTR is ugly in my opinion, but the rest of it looks lush. The TL looksgood, but not draw dropping. I would go for an rsv but the lack of the double rear exhaust is a pain.
We will see next year eh ____________________ 2000 peugeot speedfight....1999 RS125....2001 RS125....1997 GSXR600 srad |
