hi guys, i need a new/replacment engine for my NSR125-rl i think it is, its the alcast frame, 1991 model J plate, had it looked at been quoted for rebuild of 500 quid as they said big end gone, but he says piston and barrel seems ok as its holding compression,

so any idea where i can get a 2nd hand engine from, i can just swap straight over, are they all the same engines for the alcast models? rl-rk ect..

also i think mine is uk model restricted so i guess i need a uk restricted engine to go with the cdi unit do i?? thats my bike in the picture.

cheers guys hope someone can point me in the right direction

J

i use 2 links on ebay :
https://automobile-moto.search.ebay.fr/nsr_Auto-Moto-Bateau-et-Pieces_W0QQcatrefZC5QQcatrefZC6QQcoactionZcompareQQcoentrypageZsearchQQcopagenumZ1QQfclZ3QQfltZ2QQfromZR9QQfromZR9QQfrppZ50QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ2QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1QQsaatsZ71QQsacatZ9800QQsbrsrtZl
then some more in uk
https://search.ebay.co.uk/nsr_Automotive_W0QQcatrefZC12QQfromZR9QQfromZR9QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ2QQsacatZ9800QQsbrsrtZlQQsojsZ1
between £50-£100 should be a good bargain for a bottom engine

is there any chance i could buy your barrel from you to replace mine if its still in working order. since if you buy an engine it will come as a complete unit. help you on the way towards the cost of a new engine and get mine on the road again Thumbs Up
