xr125l carb drain ?

i need to drain the carb on my honda xr125L i know theres a screw
that has to be undone but where is it exactly, anyone have a pic of it etc ie carb and screw in a pic with if possible an arrow pointing to screw.

On the bottom of the float bowl which is the bottom of the carb if there is one.

Item 50 is a drain screw and item 46 is a drain plug, your carb could have either or both.

do i remove 50 or 46 or both, and i guess have a small cup or bowl below it ?

why do you need to drain it? removing 46 will allow you possibly scrape gunk out from inside the float bowl, although I wouldnt advise it as you may damage the float.

That isn't a pic of your carb. Use it to see if you have a screw or a plug and remove whichever you have but turn off your fuel at the tank first.

I thought you had been super efficient there sickpup and found the correct diagram.

In most cases you will only have no 50. just turn your fuel off and unscrew it, or leave it on to flush the bowl out a bit.

thansk again so just unscrew no50 and see what comes out, other than a little petrol what possibly would come out ?
sometimes when i start bike it will idle for a few seconds then cut out then i have to start again, its not the choke it has fresh petrol
bike is only three years old.when it does eventually go it ok
