Easy question...

Is there any way i can tell if the bike is restricted with out having to ride it or take the carb off?

If it does,nt do more than 30/35mph its still restricted, de-resitricted ones can reach around 50-60mph.

The bike is a project, so im not insured.

Ive got a lane behind my house but it would be a bit dangerous for me to hammer it down there.

I did say in my post ''without having to ride it...''

Well rev it and if it goes to very high revs without a lot of struggle at all then its derestricted, my mates restricted rs50 is very slow at acceleration and cant be revved very high very easily, whereas mine can be, also just pull away doing a "racing start" so to speak if it can do that then its derestricted as my mates one cant. Hope that helps a little.

Hi

Restriction is in the front of the exhaust. However the main jet size should be increased.

You could try checking those.
