Right,

My parents don't particularly trust me and now assume anything i say that i'm just spouting bullshit. That'd be because of the whole CBR thing. I'm not too bummed about that because i honestly don't blame them, but i'm trying to start a clean slate and they're not helping.

The other thing is, after doing F**K ALL in school for the past two months or so i went in today (like i do every day) went round all 4 of my lecturers (again, like i do every day) and in total get handed 24 assignments ranging from 4 to 9 pages long. Now, here's the cracker, the external verifier is coming on the 14th of May, so if anyone feels like helping a confused kid doing a vehicle maintenance and engineering course, let me know because i've got soft copies of the assignments on my lap top.

Someone help me guys, i feel like i've failed at life in general.

Chris

How come you got all 24 today? The lecturers just decide to give them all out now? or you been a lazy bugger and left it till the last minute? ( like me!)

And NOW they turn round and say ok here you go and hand me a F**K OFF pile!!!

21 days to do 24 assignments. I'm sure if you really put your back into it and really do want to sort your life out, then you could do it.
9 pages of text shouldn't take /that/ long to write, especialyl if you're really 'into' it because you've been doing it for a few days.

I spent a lot of college putting stuff off and still often do, to some degree. A quality in me I don't like.

Life is hard sometimes Neutral.

My room mate at school left the last 3 sections of his GCSE geography coursework until the last night. For anyone that didn't take it, its a shit load of work. Absolutely massive.

Anyway he kept me awake all night and i was helping him do it despite me not even taking geography and the cunt got an A*. Laughing

That was solid work from prep to breakfast so 6 - 7:45 am.

Laughing Mark i did the same thing for my IT coursework and got an A. Handed it in and spent the rest of the day sleeping in all my classes Laughing

G, I'm the same, any excuse to put something off, i'll find it. Still two down 22 to go.

People either thrive on pressure or crumble and fall apart. All throughout my education I have always stated that I will start tomorrow, then the day after, then the week after, SHIT the night before Laughing

You'll find it ok if you just get into the swing of things. If you find that you are getting distracted, walk away and go back later or the day after.

A couple of hours working hard and efficiently is much better than a counter productive day of day dreaming Wink

I think i fall under 'crumble and fall apart'. Since i got given the last assignment at about 1:30 i've been screaming at everyone even though they've done f**k all wrong Laughing

I can only keep my attention span for so long, and after that span is broken it's time to get another beer, i just wish i didn't finish a bottle in about 10 minutes i'm sure i'd get a lot further!

I find that it is impossible for me to complete an essay during the day, after I've relaxed in the evening, watched a bit of TV I'm ready to concentrate and focus my attention to the task in hand Wink

If you actually wanna sort stuff out, first thing to do is stop getting distracted by stuff like BCF, TV, etc Smile.

Me? I did get distracted and ended up dropping out college Neutral.

You might be asking in the wrong place, BCF is full of people hiding from the real world, their real jobs, their real unemployment and others things that shouldn't just be ignored. Razz

Stop being distracted by BCF, it doesn't help get work done and really really doesnt help you pass any exams.

Last time I was in college I found a really easy way to get it sorted. Had 10 assignments to do & was handed em all the first week. The following weekend was a holiday so was a 3days instead of 2, did 8 of em on the saturday & the other 2 on the monday. Didn't have to worry about it any more for the next 5 moths while everyone else sweated thru theirs at the last minute.
Also traded answers etc for lunch just about every day so eating at college for those 5 months was almost totally free.
Try it next time, nothing like having the entire term to swan about chasing college girls while everyone else works on their assigments.

anywho, post em up, maybe I'll do a couple just for shits & giggles.

Racing, just skimping by, sure it would be more fun if I could afford what some of the other people in the paddoc can.

I'm sure I could easily be getting double what I am if I hadn't been lazy over the last ten years or so.

As for 'loving life', I don't really go on about the many things I dislike about live on here these days, but a lot of the time I'd put it a long way from 'loving', I'm afraid.

I would like to be less lazy in life, but haven't found any good ways to achieve it.

I always have been lazy - to some extent. Didn't do amazing in my GCSEs, pulled my finger out for my AVCE. As i was pushed (a bit, and nudged by the fact i sold my coursework - insentive to complete)

I always work well under pressure, i love it (hence workin in a bar)

I'm currently applying for a section of the royal marines (band) and the fitness side of things, i can't be bothered to do. But everyone at work is telling me to do it (and forcing me - darn marathon running group)

If the pressure gets to much, just get some fresh air, (5 minutes) don't take to long or you'll have alot of sleepless nights.

I was helping a Uni student with It stuff, and she was in tears nearly every night with being over stressed with coursework. Make sure you don't get to that.

good luck anyhow

ZRX, i tried to promise myself a change in attitude at the start of this year, but uhm, never got round to it Shifty

That's just how easily i am to distract and having hobbies doesn't help either, my main one being kiteboarding, i'm such a beach bum! Laughing

G i guess i'd get bored of skimping by, i'd rather try find a job i enjoy (hence why i'm doing this course and dropped out after GCSEs, i didn't want to be another meanial office worker doing sh*t i didn't like). With the right atmosphere and the right people to work with, i'm sure work'd be a blast.

Drummer, i'll take a wild guess you're applying to be the drummer in the Royal Marines Band? Laughing I'm also a drummer and my band serves as a good distraction from the weekend, gigs are even better to just vent all my rage out! (I'm a metal drummer by the way Wink )

Is working in a bar a lot of pressure? Cuz that was something i was planning on doing this summer cuz i'll be 18 (I do lots of tending at parties because i bottle throw Laughing )

Here's one of the assignments for you to have a crack at ZRX

Wish I could help out ...but I don't have a clue about vehicle maintenance testing and the like! You'll just have to pull a couple of all nighters I guess. Mad

You can still enjoy your hobbies. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!

Good luck! Razz Thumbs Up

depends on the bar, busy bars with a few staff = lot of pressure. On saturday night, we had 3 staff, and took 2 grand, in one day (hard work when 1 member of staff is constantly in tears)

Started reading this and i thought you had real work to do...... Laughing

FFS, it's a generic "fill in the blanks". Sit down with a few mates, a bunch of snacks and attack it as a group.

It looks as demanding as GCSE science. Regurgitate your class notes or whatever you can find in books and on the web.

If you can't even manage to do these you don't deserve a BETEC and i don't want you working on any cars on the road near me.

If there's some proper work like essays, or experiments then you can moan.

That one you posted looks like a practical anyway. If you've got any multiple guess ones throw them this way but if you get busted for cheating dont blame me ( I regurlaly got over 95% in my Motor Vehicle Engineering BTEC) Wink

It'll only cost you a couple of beers if we ever meet. Laughing
