Might want to consider getting tank protectors for the sides of the tanks where your knees rub. I had a black one and the paint soon got very dulled from the rubbing - it's a well known problem on RRs.

Joe, the paint seems very easy to scratch (i'm finding washing it difficult even with a proper anti scratch washing mitt), I'm keeping it waxed to help in the meantime, but do intend to get some clear vinyl for the tank sides like you say. I just cant remember what the company that sells them is or what they're called. You just press them on with water.

As for the bike itself, the tyres are a bit square at the moment so not handling too great, but even so it feels more stable and willing to turn in than my GSXR750 and my GSXR was twice as good as my old Fireblade so i'd say the handling's pretty good. Power is impressive aswell, its my first 600 and first FI bike, and tbh feels almost the same as my 750 power wise, Fuel Injection probably helps with that.

I fitted clear protective film to the side of my RR`s tank when i first got it. Got them from https://www.thetankslapper.biz/ you cant even notice them on the tank only problem is if you use a pressure wash to clean your bike it tends to blow them clean off. Shocked

tankslapper that's the one I was after. I've seen those Stompgrip things fitted, they look awful, the glue starts to go off underneath and u get big white patches and they just generall look naff.

I have new tyres (and C&S) already at work, D207s, didn't like what people were saying about 014s.

I've heard just as bad stuff about 207s, though problems usually related to not so great wet weather grip.

Nice bike

If your after a good set of tyres, I can recommend a set of Pirelli Diablos. Have excellent wet & dry grip. Thumbs Up
