Very Happy

yesterday 125 for a day (bit rusty, off road for 18 months)

Today 500 (with dodgy gearbox - no neutral unless i turned ignition off, my left hand was knacking) had a good pootle about, didnt take long to get the hang of it - straight out and on the dual carriageway, woooof. Very Happy

all is looking good - just gotta get my foot off the brake and stop dabbing my left leg down and all is on a promise.

Been looking at bikes with my dad - what say you on the Susie SV 650S as my first bike?

Should I buy new or should I get a second hand machine?

Personaly I would have thought the Quack Z750 would be abetter first bike, but my dad said it was a tarts bike? no more so than the SV i would have thought....

will let u know how i get on Very Happy

What a marvellous machine.

rides like a magic carpet. and.... how fast? feck me fast thats how fast..

My adventures took me to the following...

picked it up - Bournemouth to Blanford. Then had a spin that evening.

Blanford to Plymouth the following morning. Then that evening up to Okehampton on the A386.

Back into Plymouth on Sat morning, then up to Northhampton that [img]afternoon. stayed at my grans then back to Newcastle upon tyne yesterday evehing.

I bought a Knox full length spine saver, one piece rain suit, a Knox back pack and new helmet (the shark S600 was a wind tunnel and was at risk of being forever permenantly fixed to my forehead)

Got home safe and sound without a scratch. This machine really shifts along the straights, had some pretty amazing indicated speeds on the ometer... for legal reasons i'm bound to decline to say just how fast of course but it was silly fast when I backed off.

here's my new lid...

https://www.seastarsuperbikes.co.uk/AGV/AGV%2006%20550/GP%20Pro/gppro_racing_red_lat_sx550.jpg

I'm very much of the mind that you shouldnt ride at all unless you have the kit to match your intentions.

So.... I have lots of questions to ask for tips on riding so check out the new topics...

cheers
