On my Daytona 600 which has now 22k miles on, the rear feels a little spongy, and I've been advised they'll only be at their best for about 15k miles max.

What options do I have? Do they just get replaced, or can it be serviced? Is it worth me getting someone like K-tech have a look at it, or is that considerably more expensive?

Cheers in advance.

Cost of a rear shock refurb can be as little as £75 or as much as £250 if you want it tuned. This is much less than a decent replacement although an average replacement can be got for about £180. Obviously this means you striping the bike and sending your old one out, usually 1-2 weeks turnaround. It might sound like a lot but consider the amount of work the shock has to do and the cost compared to sprockets, discs, or tyres.
