Second test date - first attempt! Very Happy

Clean sheet! Cool

Got an insurance quote for a Monster 600 near me. The same price as the planet's policy! Anyway that's a silly idea - I can't afford that much maintenance. Maybe I'll go and have a look at it anyway. Razz

Congratulamations buddy Smile

I can think of cheaper-to-maintain bikes than the Monster, but whatever takes your fancy.

Well done!

Okay, maybe not in the same league for that "I've got an expensive bike look" but general opinion is that the SV650 will do everything the monster will, better, for less (espesially compared to old monsters).

Hi

Well done

Monster is a nice enough bike but not that quick. An SV is definitely faster but you should be able to pick up a Monster for a lot less money. Under £2000 2nd hand. A friend bought a 600 Monster as a first bike (she is only little, and would look up to Anna) and paid £4000 brand new for an official import from a dealer, although that was 2 years ago.

All the best

Keith

600 are very very very very slow,

get a thou and then u can lend it to all of us! Laughing

saying that the new K3 is a brilliant bike - very good throttle response and generally very quick, was quiet hard getting on the thou, throttle so sensitive, one little turn and up comes the front Laughing - very easy to flip.... their alot different to r1s...

That's right mate, they only do 150+mph and a 1/4 in around (under) 12 seconds...you'll fall asleep! Laughing

Pur-leeze, the guy lives in London, so I reckon some more sensible advice is required here...not everyone is after neck-breaking speed, back-breaking riding position etc...

Sorry, that wasn't directly targeted at you TJ, it's just the generally impression that I get from people whenever opinions on bikes are required.

I like that , the K3 is generally very quick! Smile

We need to get you riding pillion with someone at 150mph to calm your speed.

Regards,
Kevo.

The Monster I saw was a '94 at £1700, in.. ahem... yellow. Rolling Eyes
I don't think the SVs are old enough to get them at those prices yet.

And Tin is right - I live in London, and want something with reasonable riding position, and I'm not after neck-breaking speed. Razz
