I am interested in buying one but i dont know much about them! are they easy to fit? r u able to put them onto a nsr? r they any good?

On an NSR? You'll need to install an extra sensor because you don't have a digital speedo, but apart from that, the process should be the same...

...but may I ask *why* you want one? having said that, I did consider getting one to boost my confidence when I was a learner, but didn't really bother.

The instructions should be clear, but you'll need to be good with a soldering iron, and you'll also need a paddock stand to setup the device once it's installed.

It will tell you what gear you're in. Thats all it does Smile

Ride the bike more, and you will get a feel for what gear you are in, by looking at the speed and the revs Smile

who cares what gear you're in

as long as the engine pulls you're in the right gear on any bike

The GN250 has a gear indicator. To be honest I hardly ever looked at it. Not worth the hassle of adding one in my opinion

They start at about £50 and go up, you may have a problem finding a sensor to convert your spedo into an electrical pulse and may find it difficult to cut the gear indicator into the engine RPM circiut
