there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to bikes and disapproving women.
Ended up with a 2003 CBR600RR with a pipe and 7500km to cain senseless, the missus said I could have one if I bought the right gear, so went dainese again and she is happy, just barely, but that will have to do!

the very first mod to be done is to put a pillow on that plank they title "seat" it also has the fatest cicken strips you will ever see on original D208's tipping into a corner feels like dropping in and gives it a wallowing feel at the front

This is the 2nd/3rd post I've read when someone posts their bike but people comment on how nice the grass is Thinking

You're worried about the CBR seat?Shocked Isn't the CBR like a sofa compared to the ZX6R?

As you've pretty much tried Jekyll (CBR RR) and Hyde (ZX6R B1H)...

Which one was the most fun for the road and/or track?

The CBR seat can be compared to a chopping board with a black condom stretched over it while the ZX-6R was like a chopping board with 2 black condoms stretched over it!
On the road the CBR is so much more comfortable suspension wise and adjusting the rear preload to minimum for some cruising in the country for a couple of hours is made easy by the use of a C spanner in the toolkit which can change the preload in 3 seconds flat while the ZX-6R is a pain to adjust with the double adjusters, one for adjusting and the other to lock the adjuster, it just wasn't worth the skinned knuckles and 10mins of bother, But on the track I think the raw raciness of the ZX-6R is where it feels home, the CBR is going to need some stiffer springs in the forks and I may need a firmer rear spring or just max pre load on the standard spring
Actually I would love it if someone would happen to have some track settings for the 2003 CBR 600RR Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

These might be a little soft for the track and are set for a 220lb rider

REAR
preload - position 4
rebound - 1 1/4 turns out from full in
compression - 5 clicks out from full in

FRONT
preload - 2 lines showing
rebound - 2 turns out from full in
compression - 1 1/2 turns out from full in

stock settings for the street for comparison:

REAR
preload - position 3
rebound - 1 3/4 turns out from full in
compression - 7 clicks out from full in

FRONT
preload - 4 lines showing
rebound - 2 1/2 turns out from full in
compression - 2 turns out from full in

They are Performance Bike settings. I had them on my RR and they seemed to suit me well, although you will probably want to tweak them to your liking Thumbs Up

one problem though 220 lbs is a bit more than me weighing in at 175lbs I might find these settings a tad on the hard side hey?

That might be a good thing as the settings are road biased so might transfer nicely to the track for you.

cool I shall try them out soon
I actually ran a rabit over when I rode the bike home at night from where I bought it, the rear preload was set to 1 and I barely felt a thing, I think the shock took the full lump which really surprised me!
