hi i have been looking on this site for a while
thought it was time to say hello

i own a 1996 cagiva mito

which is currantly in the garage getting a new piston and barrel
thanx to cold seize

I'm sorry to hear it has a siezed engine, but I am sure it will be great once it's back up and running, I love the look of the Cagiva Mitos they look great! Very Happy

yer they look well nice but i aint got money 2 buy a bike like that. i think they r one off the best looking 2t. how fast r they?

How high in the rev range were you taking it?

Personally I warm mine up on the driveway for a few mins, usually until it stops smoking like a chimney and will idle smoothly with no choke.

Even when I set off I stay below the powerband for about 5 mins until I know the coolant is circulating with decent heat in it.

I've got a 1999 mito and it's a bit tempremental if left without being run.

I'm sure you will have lots of fun on it once you get it going. Thumbs Up
