What do you think?

Restricted to 186mph, suppsedly gets there very quickly and will quite happly do 200mph (apparently) 200bhp as well...

Bearing in mind this isnt tuned this is right out out of the dealership..

Are the busas days as the king of uber barges of speed numbered?

It won't do 200 standard.

It looks pretty crap. It's really bulky. Don't like it that much, but the busa, zzr and blackbird don't look that nice anyway.

That's a cruiser isn't it? Most of them are ugly anyway. The ZZR isn't made for looks. It's made for people to say they have the fastest motorcycle in the world in there garage. Apparently it doesn't even have luggage hooks! So not even good for touring.

It's fat, ugly and the only thing going for it is it's acceleration. The Americans (McGee) will love it Thumbs Up Laughing

There's an article on the ZZR in May's Streetfighters mag, where some yanks have got their hands on them and made them look even worse! Sick (see attachment. Sorry about my shaky hands/poor camera Very Happy)

I'd much rather have a bike that's great round corners than straight-line acceleration. 0-60 in 3.4secs is fine for me

They could make anything look the motorcycle equivilant of a doylie Thumbs Down (because they really are hideous)

Thing to remember is its as much as a sportsbike as a hayabusa isn't.. its a speed barge.. and similar to the touring aspect..

Everyones quick to hop allover this bike but its nice to see kawasaki haveing some balls to make something other than a pixie sized sportsbike in a different colourscheme to last years with a 2gram lighter footpegs.. or the same old shit cruiser thrown in a vat of chrome and tassels added.

TBH there loads of bikes i'd have before it.. its defenately nicer than the zzr1200 i dont think it much more than the zzr with a bigger engine and different looks, which i'd imagine will grow on people.. (or not, many people still think the busa is pigdog ugly, and many think its sex on wheels)

The honda isn't really anything i'd want given the choice (but its..interesting)

But isn't it good theres different bikes beign designed, even if only a few people like them?

IMO its beter to have 90% of people hateing it and 10% absoloutely loveing it..

YEs I agree, out of all the 200mph sport/touring bikes i would always go for the ZX12R

I keep changing my mind. ZX12R appeals due to the 'busa being so pig ugly, and the ZX12R having more power standard. But the 'busa appeals because it has a stronger engine and better aerodynamics.

I don't spend that much on bikes so £9k for a ZZR1400 is more than I want to pay. Mind you the local dealer has a brand new preregistered ZX12R for £7200.

All the best

Cool Thumbs Up

I think the designer had a young child that loved Pixar films, especially Monsters Inc. and designed the front end like Mr Walternoose

Certainly looks good in that colour. Blue and red both look pretty good as well. Afraid I would not touch a green one unless very cheap.

I think now they are all pre registered anyhow?

Still a current model, and I think the official price is actually higher than the ZZR1400.

All the best

Hi

Wouldn't surprise me if it is not being made anymore and they are just emptying a few warehouses full of them.

2nd hand they are pretty cheap. Certainly seem cheaper than the 'busa for the same age / mileage.

All the best
