Correct, plus I dont know where he lives, I have been to andy C's house and I dont know how to get there again.

anywhoo, I had the money there in waiting..what is the problem?

Let it die matter is sorted.

I do like however how you forgot to read the part where there was a witness to the accident and it was not my fault, I didnt break the bike I binned it avoiding hitting someone who pulled out. I would class breaking a bike as me being a dick on my ZX6 and crashing it in the process.

Dodsi you picked up the bike from his house and returned it there. Doesn't your 20K miles a year give you a sense of direction?

2 pence here, pretty much iterating what everyone else has wrote.

I believe Dodsi is a good rider, I fully believe that the crash was an accident, I think the thing most people are getting at is that the principle of having to be nagged for 10 months and not see any money, when Dodsi has disclosed that he had to pay for tyres etc for his own bike is a tad unfair. Think of others before yourself. Those tyres should have waited, the same as your jacket. Dodsi did crash somebody else's bike and he should have paid him as soon as monies were available.

Why did he have to chase you for it though? were you hoping he would forget about it and you would keep the cash? Rolling Eyes

More to the point, why are you and Sickpup et al chasing Dodsi for it, especially now that it's been resolved?

Just seems to be an awful lot of chesting-puffing-out and "I'D have acted differently cos I'm a real biker" going on in this thread.

I wasn't chasing Dodsi just disturbed at the excuses his friends came up with.

It has nothing to do with being a biker it has to do with taking responsibility for ones own actions which it appear a few people on here don't understand.

If he had said 'I fucked up' everything would have been fine but the excuses given just really bother me. Even after its been settled his friends are trying to defend his actions which frankly weren't in anyones best interests except his own.

Hope that helps answer your question.

Of course its always fun to pull apart people who are talking crap as well.

Well, I'm always in favour of that, as the most casual observer will have noticed! Wink

However, I'm mildly dismayed at the willingness of so many people to jump in and virtually castrate Dodsi even before he actually deigned to reply and give the facts as he saw them.

I put it to you that it's not really anyone's business but his and Edd's, and I find the way that Edd has raised the issue to be a little ignoble as well.

People's willingness to jump on the bandwagon and administer a self-righteous shoe-ing to a fairly well established and respected member is quite disturbing - if I were Dodsi I wouldn't be forgetting that in a hurry.

Sir,
I am sorry you have misunderstood the situation. Just want to understand what went wrong.

No need to call me 'Sir' bud, I'm not at work at the moment, and in any case, I'm assuming you aren't a nasty illegal alien!

I'm simply calling it how I see it - the whole affair is very unedifying and unsightly to someone like myself who hasn't met either of the two gents in question.

Surely understanding about 'what went wrong' could equally have been sought via PM, without dragging the whole affair out in public like Flip's dirty kecks?

I was under the impression that was the cost of work done by him, not parts, but if you are seriously telling me that this whole thread and all the abuse aimed at poor Tom is over a measly £150 then might i suggest Edd doesn't now come round to squires.... and yes, that IS a threat.

£150 is a lot to me, Iam a student, Tom has a full time job. This was to cover panels, paint etc. I havent included any price for the hours of my time that were spent, as i dont think thats what mates should do. (It would have been an awful lot more expensive if it had gone into whites) The bike wasnt the same as it had been prior to the accident but I am willing to let that go, I realise that it wasnt intentional.

EX3D; I will go exactly where i wish, as I like and if you start with me I will fuck you up. Middle Finger

As far as Iam concerned, if I was riding an uninsured bike on a housing estate (we are talking an estate with single file roads, no white line, children playing etc.) I would travel at a speed that allowed me to safely stop, regardless of idiot car drivers. (we all know they are common.) Anyway none of this matters anymore as neither dodsi or I have threatened each other, i dont think he has overreacted and has been very civil about the matter. I wish i could say the same about some other members.

anders dodsi has paid me, he has also dealt with the situation well and I respect him all the more for it.
