The "D" is not diesel, it's direct.

You can't get a diesel that isn't a injection, so why say "diesel injected"..... Smile

TDI - Turbo direct injection

I know that the 'HAYABUSA' was named after a Japanese falcon who's diet includes BlackBirds...

AND

Its name is taken fro a WW2 Japanese plane favoured by the infamous 'KAMIKAZE' suicide bombers, famed for their dive speed and putting terror into the enemy.

nearly right I think, hayabusa is Japanese for Perigrine Falcon, this bird when in a 'divebomb' is in fact the fastest animal on earth.

And if you look at the link, it shows the designers seriously thought out the look of the bike and its name.... the bikes ram-air ducts mimmic the nostrils of the Falcon as stated in the 'Trivia' section in the link..

I think the R in CBR stands for Roadsports actually,

Hence the CBR600RR is City Bike Roadsport Race Replica
