Stick to the big names such as Thunder tiger, kyosho, tamiya etc (for cars)
I have a heli and 5 cars and just hoaking them out as the weathers getting better. The heli's are fun but if you crash its expensive. I'd recommend a starter heli so IF you do crash it parts and what not are cheaper, Can pick a decent indoor/outdoor one from £150 up, unless you want a nitro one your talking big bucks there |

I've been flying RC heli's since I was 14 and have recently got back into it.
I'd recomend getting a raptor 30v2 and buying a decent simulator.
Be warned flying heli's is very hard and expensive.
Good luck. |

I have a radio control hovercraft if you fancy something novelty.
Going to ebay it I think as don't use it any more, it's brilliant for annoying ducks... though swans don't back down.
I kinda want a plane/helicopter but I know I'd crash it, break it and waste my money.
When I was doing wheely school at an air field, the big boys were there with their little RC planes (I say little about 3ft long)
they were soo cool. propper little tools.
but the price £600 for anuber rubbish one. ____________________ Insta - FemFeral |

I still got a few helis, though I haven't flown for over a year now..Don't have as much free time as I had before...
If you are serious about getting into RC helis...probably the one to get is one of the Thunder Tiger Raptor Range.. ie 30 or 50 size. If you do last the stage of learning to fly it, you will probably find that the 30 sized moter is a little restrictive, and you maybe better off with a 50 size to start with. You can upgrade the 30 size to a 50, but the additional costs, you may have well bought a 50 size to startwith. Parts are plentiful, and you will find most all heli model shops holding some sort of spares for it. Also the crash kits are generally cheap aswell, in event of an inevitable crash.
You would be best to budget for a simulator, as this will help immensely in learning to hover, and to learn circuits etc..

or
as Danny says https://www.phoenix-sim.com/
(Which is not out yet)
A friend of mine has tried the beta version of this, and he has found it to be the most realistic of all the others that he has tried.
..£100 will maybe buy you a pretty crappy indoor heli, which you could get bored of very quickly(Hovering around your front room isn't exactly exciting!) You're probably going to be needing to spend about £600 to get a brand new nitro setup, with all the starting gear etc. This should be able to take you into the more exciting world of some aerobatics with the model..
This was one of my helis which I use to own
