Well the Bandit isnt even finished yet and I am already wondering what to get next.

My options are:

*600 sports (R6, ZX6R, CBR600 etc.)
*400 sports or 600sports (CBR400, VFR400, ZXR400) to be used to race at tracks and do track days on.
*250cc Scrambler. There is a lot of fields near where I live that every weekend have groups of people meet up and drive there bikes around. Also I could use this as a back up incase anything happens to the Bandit. Plus they are Cheap.
*Or finally a GSX1100 that I could use as a proper streetfighter with NOS etc.

Opinions welcome.

Mikey.

You know Zim? Your argument for it was so powerful that just for a second there I nearly did.

But I have decided to keep it.

There are plenty more of them around in clean condition if you look.

Obviously you have to be a bit special to have a Hayabusa.

Good looking, intelligent, handsome, well hung (only applies to men).

They really are a 'Real Man's Bike'.

I hear Kev nearly bought one but for some reason he changed his mind and bought a Fireblade... Wink

You can have manic fun on the road with knobblies, but supermotos do look better. As Robby said, it depends on your expected budget.

I can always count on you G, for a sensible answer!! Very Happy

I think that is a good idea.

Its just that I have seen a few CBR600 100bhp race bikes in MCN and Biketrader going for like £1600.

I wouldnt mind a supermoto but they arent cheap. But I have seen quite a few KTM's hacking around the city and they do make a nice noise!!! Smile

Just thinking guys, as I know that riding the Bandit isnt going to be comfortable at high speeds with no screen or fairings. And I dont think a track day would be any good due to this and the fact that if I crashed it I would be well PISSED!!!

But Its nice to plan ahead.

Mike.

Well Tin, I put that in there to weed out the unintelligent people just in case they consider even thinking about owning a Hayabusa. It was a kind of trap.

You sir, have overcome that trap, proving that you are indeed an intelligent man of class and distinction. Therefore you may trade up as soon as is reasonably possible...

so what does that make me then, considering I am more handsomer, intelligenter, more better hung and considerably YOUNGER than yow...

I know too many people who have Hayabusas I only know me who has what I got .. that make me happy Very Happy

<ahem> A Gixer 750 K2 whooped a K3 Gixer thou in the latest test in BiKE mag, which does make sense, especially to mortal riders.

Mr Lucky - I doubt that I'd be downgrading to a 'Busa just yet, but thanks for the vote of confidence anyway Wink

horses for courses innit..

a dt175 WILL whup a gsxr750s ass round a moto x track

a busa WILL whup (just about) anything in a straight line Laughing

track riding is about riders not bikes anyway.. observe the racing at small circuits, rs125s lap 2 seconds off the pace of the superbikes..! and would whup ANYTHING and ANYONE on this board and many others

I thought the litre class bikes had pretty much caught up with the busa as far as straight line speed went... at least over the 1/4 mile.

And yea.... though I think the GSXR750 vs 1000 issue is relevent... not sure how skilled a ride was riding, but I think the idea was that most people would be too scared to use the thou to it's full potential, while the 750 is a more reasonable prospect to push with out serious brown-pants syndrome Smile

It's more of the new-age description of a supermotard though, like the Dook Multistrada. I personally don't see the point of having a supermoto with high top end, especially since most of the fun is at relatively low speeds.

Zim - there's been the suggestion of converting a Storm into a supermoto, after someone (in Japan) converted a VTR250 into one. <wink wink>

And more to the point of having a supermoto that's bloody heavy ... top end could be fun, but it's almost inevitably linked to significantly more weight etc.
