I bought TOCA 3 today, as well as new USB rumble pad to play it with. Only problem is the game randomly crashes to desktop. Sometimes it will do it pretty quickly, and other times it'll be after a couple of races.

Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this? It's pissing me right off because it's a really good game, and this crashing thing is getting right on my tits.

My PC is an Athlon 64 3200+ Venice core, 2GB of RAM, Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 motherboard and a 6600GT 256MB PCI-E. I've already updated my GFX card drivers and run through the FAQ on the website but still had no joy.

Cheers.

This is taking the piss, Evil or Very Mad.

I've just uninstalled/reinstalled and it's STILL doing it.

You pay £20 for a fucking game that crashes randomly, and it's not just me it's doing it to, so obviously they need to sort something out.

My BF2 has always been fine, even with all the moody updates. What's pissed me off is that it's such a good game and your halfway through a race when it decides to crash to desktop, Evil or Very Mad.

Is your In game resolution and desktop resolution the same? Ive heard of people having problems if its not.

Also, close all backround programs, such as MSN etc.. and try it

Good Luck Thumbs Up

Yeah, my screen resolution is the same in game.

I'll try closing other programs, but my point is I shouldn't have to. I dont have to do that with any other game. I've contacted there customer support and sent a dxdiag report which they asked for, so we'll see what they come up with.

Theres something not quite right about this game altogether...

While I don't have the problem you are experiencing i find that it will randomly remember or forget what controls I have applied to various buttons on my pad. Evil or Very Mad

Also my P.C will not boot up if the disc in the drive!? Neutral

It sounds like when i have games on my pc and somethink pops up in background, like an msn contact.
Just try closing anythink that pops up onto desktop (like msn, when a download finishes, etc.)
