Albeit on a Pizza bike.

It was pissing down, puddles everywhere, oil (rainbow streaks on the road) approaching the end of the road, leading onto a main road, and see a car turning onto the road, so I move onto the left to allow him some more room, but as I moved to the left, I don't know what happened, but for some reason the bike just lost all grip and ended up on the floor.

Before I knew it, my ankle was trapped under the p.o.s moped, and I panicked for a few seconds before I realised that I could lift the bike off, dusted myself off and checked to see if I wasnt hurt or anything

Bruised and sore, it's won me sympathy votes from the girlfriend! Am a bit nervous but I'm sure that'll pass. I'm pretty sure I underestimated the effects of rain and the road conditions, so it was quite stupid of me really. Lesson learned.

AND. Reassuring to know that the protective gear actually, protects.

Laughing

It's got to be the best way to come off. You're not injured, nor is your bike, and you've taken away a chunk of experience which everyone needs. Thumbs Up

Feel like a rite of passage, doesn't it?

The good bit is that you (sort of) know why you came off, will have more respect for similar situations and, above all, weren't hurt (bruises don't count Smile). Treat it as a free lesson in "What Can Go Wrong" and count your blessings.

I hit a ford at 40mph once.

Makes standing water seem like nothing Shocked

First time I've ever seen one, had to pull over and try to shake myself dry afterwards. I couldn't understand why anyone would build a road through a river Confused Laughing

(It's great fun in a car though, as long as you have the windows done up)

Sorry to hear about your off, but bonus about the pizza Very Happy Thumbs Up

Considering my last job was a market researcher, this ones 10 X better. After 4 deliveries an hour is gone. So a 5 hour shift is usually gone like that *clicks* and you can usually buy a sizeable amount of pints afterwards thanks to the tips.

The actual delivering is okay, just a bit gay being on a scooter tho.

Yeh, they let me keep the pizza because I phoned them up, milked the injury and told them I might be a while, so they told me to call them and explain the situation, and I could take the pizza (with garlic bread and diet pepsi) home after my shift, hurrah!

I did Pizza deliverey a while bike and it's bloody ace!

You're on a bike that won't go over 40 (30 if it was an older bike) but it's a right giggle!

People in cars do seem to aim at you though! I remember having to do a quick dodge of a car on a roundabout. I kinda bounced it up onto the roundaabout blowing both tyres! It was right outside the base, so pick up a new bike and off you go again!

We were on Honda SH 50's or some Peugeot POS.

I'd quite like to do it again!
