Hi all,

I'll get straight to the point - I'm of average height and on the robust side, I will soon be buying my first 125 and it was going to be the Jinlun JL125-11 cruiser because of its size but I've read to many bad things about them.

So I'm now thinking of getting a sport bike, but was wondering if there is a big enough one out there?

Thanks

There is the Valadero but it's not really a sports bike .

But it is massive for a 125

That's the Varadero, and they are massive. I rate them, but many others don't. The Hyosung Comet is supposedly good too.

If you're larger than most, keep an eye out for 4 strokes, as I find they're bigger than 2 strokes. However there are exceptions to this, like the CBR125.

I rode a GS125 on my test, and being 6'3" and 16 stone, I felt like an utter retard. Rolling Eyes Bigger 125s are definitely good for bigger people.

Out of intrest, what is the Varadero like speed wise? How are they for reliability? Would they be a good commuting bike? Just wondering as once i start going to college im going to want some thing more practicle than my mrx 50 to do the 30 mile round trip each day to college and dont want to be hunched over on a little sports bike like a cbr125.

Thanks, I've been looking at both bikes and am drawn more towards the Comet than Varaderro and insurance is cheap on both bikes. The Mito isn't bad either but if I was going to get something like the Mito I'd rather get an rs, nsr, or cbr - Which is the biggest out of them?

Varadero should hold price better than other bike suggested, plus its Honda!

Honestly it's performance is comparable to a CG, possibly less because it weighs a lot. But being a 4 stroke, it will always be a nice enough commuter. Top speed, perhaps 65?

Seriously - don't get the CBR; you'll swamp it. If you want a Honda (good reliable engines) then stick with the Varadero or NSR (taking into account comments on speed, etc. earlier). NSR's are bigger than the the CBR and seem to be holding their value well too (depending on how long you're planning on keeping it).

I'm planning to keep it a while, but realisticly I know that won't happen, so it'll be the Comet down to price mainly because I'll probably be wanting to pass my test ASAP as soon as I start riding and get rid

Varadero does 74mph, and its capable of making it to the South of France from Bristol without dying. Me dads mate is the proof Rolling Eyes

A bit pricy though at £3399 (as much as a new CBF250) but very realiable
