Hi all Razz

I just bought my 125 after years of pillion riding and do my CBT this Saturday - can't wait!

I got a CBR125 (yeah, yeah.... I know it's not too popular with some of you guys but I love him!)

Bought a Oxford disc lock but the 10mm locking pin doesn't fit my disc and I'm struggling to find somat that will - any suggestions plz? Somat practical rather than lugging a great chain around Smile

cheers Very Happy

Get a D-lock that you put through your front wheel (spoke and forks). That way anyone attempting to remove it is much less likely to damage your brake.

Do you have any underseat storage?

I bought a disk lock for my Bandit, but it just wouldn't fit so when I dropped the bike into the shop to be restricted I exchanged it for one that did. I made sure to check the fit before I left the shop. They were fine with it, so perhaps once you've done your CBT you can pop down to the local bike shop on your bike and try some out til you find one that fits?

As a side note, I find it very interesting that you refer to your bike as "him". Although I'm female, I refer to all my vehicles as "her" (well, my Bandit and before that my Speedfight). Just seems to fit better somehow, but hey, whatever floats your boat. And no, before you all start to suggest it, I'm not gay Smile Not that there's anything wrong with that ofc, but my BF wouldn't appreciate it much. Actually, that's a lie, he'd want to watch Very Happy

Hi, thanks for advice so far - think I'll just take it to local bike shop and see what he's got in there that'll fit.

Lol - girl I bought it off asked if I'd keep the name of Holly Honda for "her" (I think her kids named it!) But he's all in black with bit of silver and, to me, looks a bit of a bad boy (which raises much amusement for my bloke riding his CBR600!) hence "him".

Fair enough, my Bandit is black with a silver engine and looks mean as anything, but she's a pussycat really Smile

Let's see some pics of your bike, I wanna see this bad boy Smile

Yeah, most of us are suckers for bad boys ;o)
Here he is (hoping I get the attachment right!).

He's a bit scrawny but I need it to be for handling for my first bike (and I only got diddy legs!). I wonder how long it will be before I decide he's just a kitten and want to go for a real bad boy though?!!!

Cheers Sparky

I had my first ride to work on him yesterday and general concensus is 'bargain' and 'nice, tidy little bike'.

Gotta go in for first service soon so I'll check out decent locks n stuff when I go.

BTW, got my CBT on Saturday and haven't been off the bike since - I'm lovin it! Mr. Green

Take your bike to the bike shop and ask them to come outside and try
disk locks on your bike.

My place came outside, with lots of different chains, I was looking for the biggest one I could fit under my seat.
