Also looking for a decent(ish) price Smile

Cheers,

Hmmm,

They're for the work commute, so jeans underneath would be handy... Can I do that on both? If so, 1PC Smile

To be honest I find my 1pce a bit of a pain in the arse. When you just want to pop out taking the thing off and on is a game. It's great when it gets really hot though as it's perforated more than my 2pce. The 2pce is a Dainese jacket and zipped together jeans, both completely black, even with subtle black logos. It feels like slipping into comfy clothes after the 1pce.

They do a Merlin jacket and Mekong jeans now, can work out a bit pricey, depends on how much you want to spend.

In fact I'm seriously considering selling my A*'s 1pce as I don't really wear it, then using the cash for a lighter weight leather/paddock jacket to zip into my jeans.

I got mine from www.bikersparadise.co.uk

Replaced the trousers later on with some all black ones from Gericke.

Don't buy leathers you can fit jeans under, that's what textiles are for. Buy leathers that fit you properly. Thumbs Up

Aye,

Think I'll stick the textiles then...

Just that I look like a 6 year old who mummy's dressed for the first time on the bicycle.

All that's missing is bubblewrap on the knees.

Could always do what I do and stick your clothes in a tank bag/tail pack/rucksack and wear leathers. Or I've got an A*'s 1pce you can buy if you want really nice and practical! Wink

You'll look more hardcore with knee sliders than bubble wrap Toby Wink

I'm curious though, i'm sure i just read somewhere you've got full textiles so why bother getting leathers? Until you get a bigger bike for KDing etc i don't see the point Confused

I wanted some discreet, understated "normal" black bike leathers. But not old fashioned tat.

Got a new Alpinestars Sphere jacket for £180 on Ebay and a matching (used) pair of Alpinestars "Bat" Pants for £45 also on Ebay.

They have a white Astar logo on the shoulders and on one thigh, but otherwise are just black. They're properly armoured too and the leather is top notch.

I'm really happy with them so far. Loads of pockets, they zip together and fit perfectly.

Doesn't matter what bike you have.

If I were on a 125 doing 65, i'd feel safer in leathers.

And I do have both leathers and textiles. Just because he's on
a low powered bike doesn't mean he can't hurt himself.

I used to get simmilar things said when I had a 125, ohh just jeans and trainers and any old gloves till you pass your test. Ehh?? my 125 would do 70.

Seems i've got a bit of a distorted view about textiles, i was under the impression they offered just as much protection as leathers but less so on the abrasion front...

I'm all for leathers, i was just curious why he wanted a pair as he's already got full textiles.

You should see some of the locals out here mate, they're a disgrace to the biking community.

Jeans and T shirt riding the latest R1, GSXR thou etc (too much money not enough brains) pulling off wheelies Rolling Eyes

There's some serious roadworks streching the entire length of one of the main roads meaning uneven surface with manholes not the same height as tarmac, a month ago guy on an R1 wheelied and hit a manhole, bikes a write off and he's still in hospital Thumbs Down

Marginally off topic, but can you get DPM (current army combat pattern) textile biker trousers cheaply?
