Yep tis true, internet explorer will auto download the file it tries to send, xpl.xmf or something like that.
Firefox atleast asks me if I want to download it or not. It still lags my pc out until I can click cancel though. Neutral

Or,

you are less likely to get a virus, but due to your woeful complacency, you are more likely to get a more damaging virus and not know about it! Smile

Let's hope that Korn has updated BCF to stop it happening here!

There have been a couple of crude Mac viruses, and no doubt when there are enough of them around to make it worth the writers spending their time on them there will be a load more.

All the best

Apparently this sort of virus has attacked alot of forums, Hopefully its just some nerd who was just searching threw the internet and dont know nothing about bikes so they might not see this one.

From what someone has said, it was surposed to have sent an e-mail to all the members saying theres a new feature, then they click on the link and it takes them to the site, where it automaticly downloads a Java based virus and it locks up your computer. If you did go on it then it is advised to do a system restore.

There has been a competition running for the first person to write a virus that will replicate itself and damage files, or impair the computers functionality. The prize for the first person to come up with this is £25000.....Its been running for 2 and a half years now and still no takers.
