Flip, I only discovered it a few years ago, and I live 15 miles from the closest race, Dundalk.
Irish road racing, like the isle of man TT, only in Ireland!
In some places the road in only just the width of a car, just imagine 3+ bikes @ 150+mph, on roads that narrow, it's breath taking. It's televised, so watch it if you get a chance, you'll want to come next year. Cool

Man, Micheal Rutter got clocked doing 201.1mph at the North West 200 last year. On country roads! Mental.

Does anyone think this will be beaten this year?

I've been meaning to go for a couple of years,we will make it one day.
As for beating Rutters top speed last year,i doubt it as Rutter really wanted to be the first to clock 200mph on the roads.Now it's been done it's no longer a goal,do you think anyone else will have the machinery to do it?

Probably right. Last year his pit board was displaying his max. speed every lap at the speed trap, instead of his lap time or overall lead!

Was really good to see him celebrate when he got the 200 in the bag, it looked as if he's won the race, but a few laps short! Laughing

Yesterday was excellent! Yes it rained, yes it hailed, yes there was even thunder and lightening, but the craic was great and the racing was Class.

I went up on the bike on Friday evening, came back home this aqfternoon.
Friday night in the york bar, saturday marshalling at black hill/snappers. Saturday night in the anchor bar and shunters in portrush.
Now I just want to sleep, for about a week.

Oh, and i have found a sponser for racing!!!! He has a 400 and wants me to race it!!! I hadn't even considered racing but if I had said no I would always wonder what might have happened. So i'll meet him during the week and see what happens.
