50cc pit bike

hi my mates son has a 50cc 4stroke pit bike and we want to try and give it more power and a bit faster does any one have any ideas on the best way to do this or where we can buy parts that will do it any help will be good thanks in advance john

A 4 stroke 50cc will be wowfully slow anyway, not really much you can with it bar replacing it with a 50cc 2 stroke. Not much help really but it's you best bet.

If it's the same as other 'proper' pitbikes, obvious solution would be to stick a 90/110/125cc engine in there.

we r trying to avoid changing the engine someone has sugested that if we put bigger jets in the carb and a racing spark plug that will make a difference as it should get more fuel but im not sure if it will work john

50cc 4 stroke as above better spending cash getting another bike or an engine 2 stroke is the one to go for, low cc power gain

he is having a new bike at the end of year so its something to give that extra boost until he gets a new bike will bigger jets and upgraded spark plug help? thanks john

I know its not more power..but perhaps put a bigger rear sprocket on it for better acceleration? Might keep him amused for a bit.
