Hey all,

How many teeth does the rear sprocket have on a NSR125R1? After many attempts at counting I've lost my patience so I'd thought I'd ask you knowledgeable guys and gals... While we're at it, how many teeth does the front sprocket have as well?

Also, (nearly over now) what's the address for that german website with the single seat conversion and other odds and sods for the NSR?

Karma Thankies in advance

Trot

Its usually stamped on them I think. Spray a bit of WD40 on them and give them a wipe.

Get a long strip of plasticine.

Mark one tooth with a bit,

That tooth first, roll it along the plasticine.

Stop when you get 1 tooth before marked

Count the dots on the plasticine.

Feckin hell thats a long and fiddly way to do it plus I threw my plasticine away after puberty Wink .......Should be stamped on the sprocket...If its too dirty to see clean a line below ONE TOOTH then count around till you get back to the clean tooth again..If your sprockets clean then tippex one toth and do the same...Its not rocket science. I was actually taking the piss.

If you can't count teeth on a sprocket you don't deserve a bike.

That was a joke also.

Before you pay out on a single seat conversion (if that is what you want) you should count the number of people you can comfortably get on your original seat as you could save a few quid.

Cover the whole of the seat in plasticine and get butt naked people to sit on it until there is no room. When the bike is clear, count the number of pairs of butt cheeks. If there is only one pair then you already have a single seater Thumbs Up

The ass to plasticine is quite complex as they are not uniformed like teeth. I could fit 5 Paris Hiltons on there or one Anne Widecome which would shatter the suspension, frame, wheel and anything else i can't think of...

As for the reason, I was wondering if i could affix a sprocket with more teeth on...

Let the abuse continue Mr. Green Thumbs Up

You might be able to fit a sprocket with more teeth but you'd need a different chain, probably.

As far as the arse -> plasticene problem, you'd have to measure the arse of everyone in the UK and then work out what is an average arse. Or you could just go onto Visordown Mr. Green

Cheers
