Just wondering how many of you ZX6R owners have put a race can on your bikes.

I was at the dealers yesterday and i inquired about fitting a can to my bike. The mechanic said to me that i probably shouldnt, as he has ridden a 6R with and without, and finds that it completely loses its midrange, Whats your experience?

He could quite easily have done his company a favour and helped sell me onw, but he chose not to.

I put one on purely to get ride of the chinmey pot thats on there. A ti oval race can looks so much smaller and weighs a LOT less.

I havn't noticed any drop in mid-range, and my last dyno run showed a nice clean linear curve.

A power commander should sort out any problems like that should they arrise, and will free up another few horses too in the process. Thumbs Up

Problem for me now its warmer is getting my head around figures...£300 on apower commander, or just get out and enjoy the thing on 3-4 trackdays. I haven't fitted a power commander Exclamation
