Strange mail.

Just got a strange message via my myspace thing from someone saying they like my photos and are looking for models for FHM and Maxim. My immediate thought is that it is a scam on a whole new level, but the email they've given me to reply to can be linked to a genuine modelling website thing.

Is anyone familiar with scams that are like these? I usually manage to keep on top of the current crap floating around the 'net but this is a new one for me. What do you think?

Yeah, it says I need to contact this person via that email adress, that a webcam is essential and that all girls that are picked get a couple of hundred quid.

I would need the headers for a IP check, you can pm me them if you like.

If they sent you a e-mail it will have them, cant tell from a msn address alone but you can be 90% sure it will be a phishing mail a Nigerian cheque scam.

Why not send a direct mail to Maxim or Fhm (from contacts on webpage) and ask them about it

ok s someone on onemodelplace.com ended up dead, but people on bcf end up dead too. Doesnt necessarily mean its the websites fault, just the dangerous world of bikes.

The email thing may lead to signing up on a website with posey pics, but if its free, it might be fun, and you might get some modelling work from it.

Modeling isnt necessarily dangerous or hard to get into and I hear its easy money even if its not a lot.

they have to find girls somehow, so why not ones who post pics of themselves on the net

Now you've all bought the temptation back and I'm in somewhat of a mild dilemma. Do I;

Add this person to my MSN and see what they say?
Add this person to my MSN only to find out I just bared all and sundry to a 12 y/o?
Ignore the mail but sign up to the site to see what comes of it? (possibly death)
Ignore the email completely but think it was a nice thought of them and thankyou.

Personally I'd ignore it, maybe take it as a compliment someone wants to see your pink bits. No professional is ever going to use MSN and a web camera for recruitment.

it you really want to do modeling stuff just go to an agency and ask , ask them not to piss about and to give an honest opinion , who knows what might happen , beats working (or not) for a living.

It's a scam.

Some bearded old man wants to see you on camera. As Shaun said, take it as a complement and ignore it.

Don't get cuaght up in it, ignore the email. My girlfriend has got a couple off "modelling agencys" too, when you check them out it turns out that they're bearded old men who just want to see some flesh.
