Every day to and from work/mates houses/pub I am confronted with an endless supply of incompetent baboons on 50s trying to overtake everything in sight.

Earlier on as I approached my mates house, I see a group of kids by the roadside all gathered around something, as I pass, a ped emerges, rider wearing full gear (rare, very rare in my area) he starts up and zooms across the pavement on to the road in front of me, shoots off down the road and at the end of it I see a car overtaking a parked car in the road, and him double overtaking about a foot away from another parked car and cutting the driver up around the corner, ALL of this done whilst continuously looking over his shoulder to see if I was trying to race him, all he saw was me turning right into a cul de sac. Not that he endangered me, but the silly cunt went to all that trouble to attempt to race me. This is but an example of the cretins I see doings whatever it may be that said cretin chooses to do at the time, about 1 in 20 peds I see have riders lacking the death wish. Which annoys me as I'm sucked into a stereotype with morons who quite frankly need to be lined up and shot.

I still get that on my bike mate, so it's not just your area or what bike your on. I think they just see that I'm wearing trainers/jacket and think I'm on a stolen bike because I'm not wearing all the gear and proceed to try and race me. Usually let them win to be honest, though if I know there's a nice bit of road coming up I'll obliterate them.

My ped had no fairings on the left hand side Mr. Green

Is this illegal?

I always thought it was ok ie streetfighter bikes.

I took it of originally to work on the engine and drive system, had to take off the variator case and it's all awkwardly put it so it's amazing hard to get it off.

in the past week, i'v seen about 10 different moped riding chavs sporting only a helmet & gloves for protection. they all ride like pricks too.
i don't get it, they might aswell not even wear the helmet... the head's gunna be safe, but fall off at whatever speed, your elbows/hands/wrists smash down on the road forced down by all the weight, and pushed along by your momentum. goodbye skin.

whatever bike you ride, you will see people on similar bikes taking unnecessary risks.

at least with peds, they are unlikely to kill you or themselves

a lot of 50cc peds dont go faster than a push bike so at least they are wearing helmets (usually)

its certainly very possible to kill yourself on a small bike, but its easier on a big bike

overtaking on a national speed limit road at 80 with an oncoming car at 60 means a relative speed of 140mph

There was 3 of us on sports bikes filtering very sensibley, about 20mph, stopping for cars when they are pulling out of the junction as they might not see us, ect ( I didnt no these other to guys, 1 was on a 1000cc somthing and the other was on a r6, and I was behind them on a rs 125 Embarassed )

Anyway this dick on a ped ( Im sure he was a grown man ) came passed me flat out, shorts and T-shirts with oncoming traffic coming, He was well close to me and I happend to dart at at that point to avoid a rock, we missed each other by inchs, yet he still kept on going flat out to the other bikers. I was shaking my head then I thought I was just being a tart, But the front biker was doing the wanker sign to him so its all good Thumbs Up

It's not just how well protected you are. You're a danger to the public when riding 'flat out' regardless of what you are wearing.

Well i don't ride a little twist and go, but its still a 50cc. I always try to ride to the best of my ability and as safely as possible, always life saver, dont do stupid over takes (only over taking I do is slow speed filtering) Compared to a lot of 50cc riders you see I would consider my self a safe and very sensible rider. I also always wear my textile jacket, gloves and helmet too.
