Basically this is the first leather jacket ive bought right, how tight fitting are they supposed to be, its comfortable and not loose, but it seems really short, and covers just past the zip on my leather pants, is this right.

Its gota be tight but not to tight!!!!

In other words, we cant really help you, the best person to ask is the matey down the shop who is selling you the jacket, or if your buying online, then go down a shop anyway and try them on down there.

Well they do vary.
If it's not riding up above your belt it should be OK.

Well when i wear leather pants its just past the zip on them in standing up, on bike, my back shows! And with jean its just below my waist! Its from Hein Gericke, and he said thats fine it'll stretch, and the size up (52) is baggy on the arms! Now im a weird type person, i have a really defined chest but skinny lower arms! What you reckon keep, or refund for different size?

As long as it zips to the lowers to stop it riding up then it's fine.

If it doesn't then it's too short.

It zips but it feels like its gonna pop off Laughing its a size 48, and they go up to 58! Basically in jackets ive always been a medium, so size 48 must be Small in leather jacket sizes.

Get a pic with my jeans on and show you all.

It sounds like you may need to shop around a bit more to find a manufacturer that suits your size/shape more.

All manufacturers are cut different and it's simply a case of finding the right one. For example I'm tall and thin and it took quite a bit of searching to find one that isn't baggy.

A well fitting suit is going to offer far more protection than 1 thats either baggy or in your case has gaps between top and bottom Smile Regardless of how much you pay.

Most 2 piece suits have zips to join them together that go all the way around the waist, it's unlikely these will 'pop-off'.

speedwells next to the radcliffe metro link has a bandito 600 for a shade under 2K , he is an expensive shop though the bikes are in good nick.

Warricks in Heywood has one too a shade over 1.5K under 20K onthe clocks.

get it altered? , I'm at the wrong end of the country but
the leather lady used to do some great cheap alterations
theres one in Bury , but I have to go ask fat bastard Ged
for the number since the advert is in his bike School ,and
he doesn't like me period.

its apparently important as badly fitting ones decelerate at
a different rate and cause further injury

You mention that its a size 48, and you've tried a 52 but it was baggy, have you tried a size 50?

i was told by a salesperson that a jacket should be tight as it should hold your internals in place if you crash.
