I find mirrors a bit overrated anyway , shoulder checks seem to work better as I can never adjust me mirrors so that it suits all my riding and my elbows tend to get in the way and I have a huge set of mirrors the kind you use to shave in the morning with.

I think you may as well just get rid of the mirrors entirely.

The mirrors on my zxr400 are perfectly placed but I do have to tuck my elbow in a bit to take a view, any closer and they would be useless. I don't think I could do without mirrors now.
There's no two ways about it, if you want mirrors that work then they have to be on big stalks..

I like the idea, but they'll just not work. Remove the mirrors, then fibreglass, smooth and paint the hole that's left.

those mirrors look a bit shit, and are worse than useless

if you have taken your mirrors off, you know you have to look round, but if you have stupid little mirrors that do show up something, it would be just frustrating, as you can sort of try to use them but they dont work properly.
