removing Tank Protectors

Whats the best way to do this guys? i have a tatty see through one from the previous owner and have a nice new carbon fibre looking one to go on.

Heat it up with a hairdryer bit by bit and carefully peel it off.

Take care. I'd imagine you'll be fine on the B1, but I just pulled one off my new 17 year old VFR, and it peeled off with it a piece of paint the size of a 50p.

Top will probably come off quite easy but leave the glue residue behind. I cleaned mine with a little petrol and a lot of elbow grease.

hairdryer then clean up with a bit of hand cream. sounds wierd but works. smells better than petrol too.
