*Reserved*

My recent sale was turned down unfortunatly due to the buyer running out of funds..
This is a good condition ZXR400 that needs some minor engine work (adjustment of cam chain and tensioner) I have had qoutes for this for under 150 pounds Smile other then that, this bike is in perfect order, the engine runs fine, but the suggested cam chain service is 30,000 miles, which is where its at now. Its not that there is a problem..

My reson for sale is due to a recent crash on my brothers bike I have decided not to use this bike, but to buy a smaller 250cc bike to learn with.

This sale is of a rare Kawasaki ZXR 400 in blue, which has recently had a lot of work done. A lot of work was done to make this bike look new, and run nicely. The bike has only 30,000 miles on the clock, and has maintaince and service records from a genuine repair centre. I recently replaced the oil with new good quality Silkolene, and put it up on paddock stands in a warm shed for storage. This bike has no rust as it was never left in the rain, comes with information of previous owners and all the other correct paperwork. The bike has:
- A remote start button (on a key chain)
- Alarm system (also fitted to rear under seat so there is safe storage)
- CCC carbon fibre exhaust
- new stickers in crome
- K&N air filter
- Dyno jet + Dyno tune with certificate
- new tank pad, un scuffed,
- and many, many more parts all fitted, with recipts to show the parts are there, and bought from a genuine bike shop. I spent a lot of money on parts for this bike. All it needs is some new brake oil (Dot4) which I have and she is ready to go.

*SOLD*

Thanks for looking all

That is possibly the most stunning bike I have ever seen.

*waits for Craigs23 to spaff all over the advert*

If I had the money... But I'd be scared of riding it!

Good luck with the sale, you'll make someone very happy.

Better off single if she sees how much work you've put into it and how much you dream to ride it and she still keeps you to her promise mate.

To tell you a secret, she watched me build it. The whole project, she came in and watched me working on it. Then we somehow ended up together. If it wasnt for the bike, I wouldnt have met her. But Now I have her I cant have the bike..

Ahhh darn it Smile im still pleased I have her. Even though the amount of loss I am making selling this bike is 1000 plus pounds worth of kit.. but again.. small price to pay for love Thumbs Up

Il stick to me classics from now on Rolling Eyes

So in other words she's seen you pour your heart into something for a quarter of a year and then selfishly made you give it up?

I loved tracking this bike as you were building it up as i had a zxr400 at the same time and got ideas from you.
Someone will be very lucky to get this bike, its gorgeous!

No girl could take me away from my bike dont care how fit she is!
our main arguements were coz i was always out on it, so i bought her a lid and shes sweet now because she feels part of my love of bikes!

.........how wrong she is, ho ho ho Mr. Green

good luck with the sale!

I already have a ZXR400, but just thought I'd pop up and say that is a beautiful bike. Make sure it goes to a good owner, it looks like you've put a lot of work into it. Thumbs Up

I'm sure you're a nice chap, and you've got a lovely bike, but i've never wanted to slap a forum member so much! How can you let a woman make you get rid of that bike!?

Unless she's super hot, cooks for you all the time, stays utterly faithful, and showers you with love, then it's slightly forgivable.

What exactly contitutes "adjusting the camchain and the tensioner".

Unless it's been fitted with a manual tensioner (which takes 5secs to adjust) then it should automatically tension the chain. If it's not working then a new tensioner should be fitted for a maximum of £80 inc labour. Otherwise and more likely at 30,000 on a ZXR400 it needs a new camchain which is an engine out job.

Yup, she does all that Smile including looking after me after a bike crash I had a while ago Sad so no more big fast bikes was the promise I made.

The bike is at 30,000 miles and may well need a new cam chain/tensioner. I was told 120 pounds by the local garage
Thumbs Up
Somone looking at it this week. If it doesnt turn out, bike will be for sale again.

Cheers for the kind comments Razz

Hi, the cam chain on the zxr400 should be replaced every 15,000 miles. This requires a complete engine drop. Dan Thumbs Up

I heard nowadays they can drop cam chains in from under the rocker cover? this means they just feed the chain into the engine, then connect it, put the cover back on (after timming) and away you go? Smile
