I have to agree they look like something a hobbit's wife would wear whilst cleaning out a chicken shed.

Saying that, I can't get my head around how girls can wear pin sharp high heels with bits of sharp lace strapping thier blistered feet to a sole that is at 60 degrees to the ground!?

The flat shoes look a bit silly but what REALLY looks stupid is when they are worn with those half trouser, half shorts that stop half way down the calf.
I haven't seen one girl yet that they suit. They make them all look dumpy even the most perfectly proportioned girls cannot get away with them.

I think all you guys should try being women for the day....be expected to look your best all day long, look seductive, and still try and lead a 'normal' life.
I own heels, but wear hem rarely. I have three pairs of Converse shoes in black, red, and black with flames on. I wear pink/black Nike trainers too, and occasionally pink ballet-style shoes. These things aren't meant to impress, they are for necessity.
For a start, in heels, unless you wear tights, you gotta go barefeet...any idea how much that makes your feet reek after walking around all day in the confines of a high-heeled prison?
On the upside, a kick in the balls goes down a lot better if you're wearing heels rather than trainers
There's a time and a place for heels. Walking down the street or going about your normal everyday life or job isn't it. Unless you're a dominatrix.

Flat shoes are some of the most hideous items of clothing available (in my opinion obviously > <). If I have to wear flats I prefer boots (DM's etc) but I've not owned a pair of flat shoes since I was a child and I have no intention of starting now. Whilst part of this is because I find wearing flat shoes uncomfortable, the majority of it is simply because I look (and feel) better in heels. Flat shoes also seem to encourage ugly walks (lots of slouching and general duck-like positions). Either that or the posture standard has dropped dramatically even in the last few months

I quite like the flat shoe look, I've never really been in to heels.

I've always gone for women who wear sensible or comfortable shoes (cool flip-flops, cute etnies/converse etc.), the kind that look like they fit well. I haven't got a foot fetish but I am seriously turned off by feet that have been crammed into poor fitting, one size to small shoes for years.

This is slightly off the topic but does involve feet. It reminds me off an odd experience.
I had just left work on a friday, had the traditional joint on the way to the station, settled down on the train and in front of me was quite a fit young lady. I looked her up and down and she was wearing some stylish kind of flip flops, her feet were perfectly formed apart from the two middle toes were webbed!! webbed i tell you!!
I tried not to stare but had a few looks to confirm I wasn't seeing things. Bizzare.
Anyway.....back to the shoes.....
