Well, after watching it lash down with rain for an hour before setting off i wasnt looking forward to riding home in the wet. However it soon dried up once the sun came out and it ended up as a cool ride.
First i was riding along a bit of an open zone on the way home, going at a steady 60 as its not a proper dual carriageway just a wide country lane, when i notice the kid in the fiesta behind me is driving right up my arse !! Obviously thinks he can take on the bandito !
The next set of lights proved to be a bridge too far for our young hero, as the 1.1 fiesta doesnt quite have the acceleration of a bike Very Happy
Next up i am behind a scooter doing at least 55mph Shocked
And lastly i get a great big nod from a guy i see quite regularly going up and down the A6 Thumbs Up
Quite a cool ride home from a shit day at work.

I used to get up extra early for work just so I could go the long way round (I was always 10 minutes late, even If I went the short way and left earlier).

I especially love the rush hour ride through Manchester back home , visor up, nice safe, yet quick filtering, muttering " hahah look at you in your stupid cars stuck in traffic, move you suicidal asian bomber in a taxi Middle Finger before i kick your mirror off "

Tonight was fun, nice dry roads, took the long way round got off at Boothstown on the East Lancs instead of the Pendlebury turn off, so a good extra 5 miles added and 30 mins riding Very Happy

Lol, my gf left a massive tyremark on the East Lancs emergency braking from 70.

ROFL.

Sounds like a scary road from what she said... lmao.

My commute is shit, 5 miles down a straight road.

Is it wrong for me to have SERIOUSLY considered moving to get a better ride in?

East lancs westbound at windle island when it's busy during a lane closure in rush hour, there's a good half mile to a mile of traffic, it's an absolute laugh Thumbs Up I know riding fast when filtering is suicidal, but it's also damn good fun. Most drivers round here seem to move over a bit, too.
