As far as i am aware all i need to do is complete the following.
https://www.nsr125.com/derestrict.htm
but my opinion there is something wrong with my carb. but i have read on some imports they are restricted in other ways, RC - the throttle plate the CDI etc... not sure thats why i attached my frame number. |

no this site is good with the UK models but not with imports
your bike is a 2001 import FRANCE . de-restricting this bike is not so easy as you think . sure you can do the basic intake and up-jetting , but plenty of other things to do .
BASICS
- take off the intake plate (you've done that) and fit carbon reeds
- de-restrict or change exhaust system *
- fit BR9EIX sparkplug
* the restrictor is about 8" down in the pipe and the pipe needs to be cut down to take off the restrictor , then resoldered with oxyacethylenic torch and soft steel . so better to buy a jollymoto or gianelli exhaust pipe
ELECTRONICS
both CDI and RC/valves control unit are restricted and need to be exchange with UK or italian specs models
actually your CDI is marked CI639 and you need a CI626
your control unit is marked TV-124 and you need TV-78
the best is to watch on ebay when people break foxeye bike and ask seller how they are marked .
changing them do not need any modification except for the CDI which need to reverse the green and the black/yellow onto the 4 wires connector coming out of the loom
you will find any exponation in my file

i am not joking and i know what i am talking about . my bike was a RW (1998) and it's fully de-restricted now and it's a general problem here in france . i explain : in 1993 after the government reform the ridding licence , the 125cc were restricted at 15Hp so honda in order to respect the law has restricted the bikes and on my forum after 2 years of studies and research we establish a way of how to de-restrict your bike . i write this file to show the differences and what to do
for the question of the reeds . the reed block do not change , you change only the genuine membranes (fiberglass) by carbon made (3 selt-taping little screws on each side)
about upjetting : if you de-restrict your bike it's for going up in the RPM and the enemy of a 2 strokes is a lean mixture (seizure secure at high revs) , so to compensate you need a richer mixture . the genuine jets are (order:main, idle, power) 132,38,55 . upjetting is to fit 138,42,65 , throttle needle on the second notch from the top
i explain
- main jet is efficient between 2000 and 9000 RPM
- idle (or slow) jet works under 2000 RPM
- power jet works from 9000 and over
if you need further question ............. ____________________ the worst day fishing is better than the best day working |

i've seen the cabon block and the membranes but where do i get the jets and where are they replaced, but again even though the exhaust is still restricted would these alterations improve or reduce the running effectiveness of the bike, as stated the bike is running like poo! i have just replaced the corroded choke piston, just ordered the o ring, but can add to my order the other pieces from dellorto if i new which they where.
could you assist a little more |

no problem . if you intend to run with you restricted exhaust mail to mattew cooper sales@dellorto.co.uk and order :
carb 28PHBH/FD
- 1 main jet 135
- 1 slow jet 42
- 1 power jet 60
that's all you have to tell him (he knows, i've done that at least 15 times for my mates) even you can phone (number is on the site)
if you intend to de-restrict or buy race exhaust do the same with
138,42,65
always set needle on the 2nd notch from top
yes , carbon reeds, upjetting, irridium plug will make your engine running smoother ____________________ the worst day fishing is better than the best day working |

So the membranes(petals) are supposed to be replaced by the carbon ones, i think their white'ish in colour(the original membranes).

I only asked bout the stopper because i think i left mine out!!!
Will it do any damage?
And as for the carbon reeds, i would go for Boyesen power reed petal set.
But Alain would get them for you, if its wat he recommends, then they must be good.
