Well i took my CBT today. A wholly enjoyable experience.
After driving a car, i never thought 40mph could ever feel fast. But it did, and it had me grinning from ear to ear.Twisted Evil
I had more than one scary moment though, including locking the back wheel aproaching a massive roundabout next to a motorway. I also forgot about smooth clutch release at a set of traffic lights and ended up with my front wheel in the air. Fecking scary, but it was afterall my my first wheelie Laughing

There was a guy at the CBT centre that had come back for another session from the week before- he hadnt been allowed on the road teh previous week for being inept.
He managed to lowside the bike during the practise emergency stops in the carpark and almost killed himself out on the road.
He has to go back for another cbt next week. If that was me, i'd take the hint that perhaps i wasnt meant to be on two wheels!?

Heading down to the Isle of Wight to meet Lilredmachine and purchase his MZ supermoto tomorrow. I cant wait to get out on my own bike. Come the end of the summer i will be allowed time off work and ill do my DAS......onwards and upwards.

Sorry for what is probably an uninteresting topic, but im happy that i am finally on my way to getting myself a bike after all this time and that i enjoyed the experience so immensely

Kaben Thumbs Up

I'd be keen if the weather was OK, but i think i will pick it up in a van and learn on roads i know for my first few rides.
Portsmouth-maidstone is AT LEAST 3hrs by non motorway routes and probably a lil more than i can chew for a first ride. Wink

But thanks for the offer mate Thumbs Up
