Never heard of them, where are they?

Himself says if they're on Riverside Wharf they're a couple of ex-squaddies and should be OK but he doesn't know them personally.

He recommends you try MC Motorcycles (Mark) in Norman House first.

You could go to RRace in Bewsey (his mate Jeff's business) and ask if Rods can have a look at it or ask them for a contact number for Les Hill who is mobile (but tends to specialise in Kawasakis).

You could possibly go to see Barry Croston who is across the road from Bromleys Tyres - think that one's called Bikesmart?

Mick at MDL sometimes takes on repair work, although he does more breaking and buying and selling these days.

If you go to any of these people, tell them that JB told you about them and you shouldn't get ripped off I hope.

Hmm,

I am near Bewsey, but don't fancy going there on a bike, lol.

I'll have a look on the web for the companies you recommended, thanks a million.

I will look a right tit if I say 'JB' sent me and they go 'Who's that then'.

Lol.

I've used them. Excellent service, but bloody expensive. They do MOT's. They have a pick up service, if you can't take your bike down. I've been to RRace, but not used them. From the quick peek I had into their workshop, they seem to be into customisation, mods etc. They dont do mot's but will do pretty much anything else, if they have the time.

Hi,

SPOD quoted me £150 for full service, £50 to sort the creaking problem, and £24 for the MOT. They didn't mention the mixture problem.

I can't pay that, not for a CG.

Yams, doesn't monkey man do motorcycle repairs, or is he entirely scooter based? I know you wouldn't like to be seen using the site for advertising but I don't think anyone would mind in this instance.

manchester ain't far , with your CG doing 120MPG and it running lean (ie 20% better fuel consumption at cost of shorter engine + spark plug life), half a gallon would do it , and you hafta come out to Mancs someday.

They quoted me £120 for just valve clearances alone! Couldn't afford it. To be fair to them, they did tell me to keep using the bike for some time before getting it done, as it didn't sound too bad. Why dont you do what you can by yourself, and leave the bits requiring special tools for the professionals. It would be cheaper, and a good learning experience.
