I'm gonna kick this mooching laptop battery in the nuts if it carries on - it likes to go down to somewhere around the half way mark then it will climb back up and charge propperly like the big tease it is (all whilst on the mains I mean). I've replaced the connector bit on the mains adapter as the other one for some strange reason decided not to work but it's showing a good 19.4 dvc volts on the ammeter with the new connector.

It's been on all day and it's been fine till now, could it be a loose battery maybe?

How does a battery on its way out usually behave? I've been told usually it will just struggle to hold any charge and quickly go down. My one seems to be going down at a normal rate.

I do know that the laptop is 19v 4.74A but the mains adapter I have for this thing is 19v 3.16A - would that cause these symptoms? I've had the thing for about 9 months now with that adapter wth no problems. Sad

the laptops gonna be trying to draw more current from the PSU than it can supply so that may be the cause.
