S4RS has 999 Testastretta engine (WANT!!)
S4R has 996 engine
S2R 1000 has air cooled 1000DS engine
S2R 800 has air cooled 803 engine

Mine is the little 800 Laughing

Shocks are bloody expensive! Either second hand Ohlins or Nitron I think with some replacement springs up front Thinking

Aaa ok, and Nitron was formed with a load of ex Ohlins employees IIRC.

Forks with shims or damper rods?

I no understand? Laughing

The current forks are non adjustable Marzocci's but TBH they feel fine. I'll just upgrade the springs to better ones

Or if I save up a while I can fit Ohlins forks from an RSVR

Are you on ukmonster?

To be perfectly frank, I'm not sure. There are so many forums nowadays that I can't remember which ones I've registered on...

Hi mate bike looks amazing. Are these bikes expensive to maintain? Are they reliable, am considering getting one once I've passed my test. Cheers.

This my second Monster and not really had any problems, like any bike just look after it. 2v air cooled monsters aren't too expensive to maintain and are pretty easy to work on.

I would go for as new a bike you can afford, older carbed models can have electrical problems. Any questions just ask or even better head over to ukmonster Thumbs Up
