Yes I did see it. It must be really hard to keep it clean.

Saw that at Beaulieu. It made me feels slightly ill. Poor busa!

Took the beast out to Dungeness.

257 miles, left 10:00, got back 21:15

Journey out was this
https://goo.gl/maps/Hydb9
I'll be honest, the A272 East of Haywards Heath was a bit of a let down, very dull in comparison to its West side. Thankfully everything on from the A267 was good fun.

Return journey was brilliant.
https://goo.gl/maps/PnmJs
Lot's of views, large descents and plenty of fast switchbacks.
As far as I could see, the traffic between Rye and Eastbourne was at complete standstill. Mile after mile of queue's heading north.
I was on the wrong side of the road from Hailsham to East Dean. God knows how many hours people were going to the stuck in traffic.
By 8pm the roads were empty, the A272 and Kirdford roads all mine Smile

some more pics

Only downside was the bike. I replaced the oil and adjusted the valve clearance and it wasn't good. At 7,500 rpm there was a wall and it wasn't going past it. Looks like I fecked up the clearance or overfilled with oil. Or both.

I basically headed down a few lanes around Sussex which I'd seen on my travels but hadn't explored...I found myself zig-zagging across Sussex, I was just mooching about. Did take a photo of my bike in front of a lovely old barn...

I wish I got out on my bike as much as you do! Sad

Almost certainly incorrect valve clearance. Check it again! Can't see how overfilling with oil could cause this issue, but that is VERY easy to check.

Damn, busted, thought I'd sneaked out on your bike without you knowing Smile
I've deliberately got no commitments, which has it's downsides, but does have it's upsides. Have to head out on a jolly to somewhere new each week now to get my fix Twisted Evil
To be fair, until the BCF Mayday run, I'd never been anywhere on anything. The last time I went anywhere beyond 30miles prior was 1995. My bike is so unbelievably slow, but also incredibly cheap and easy to ride. 9 hours in the seat is not tiring because it's comfy and weighs nothing.

Will check again and this time not button up until they are spot on, rather than my usual "that'll do".

Ahh, ok, would explain the miles of traffic jams. I didn't see any planes doing circuits or loops etc, probably there are flying restrictions around Dungeness power station which was were I was.

Not my bike but today has been spent teaching my lad how to ride Very Happy Also went to the beach and took him through an estuary but I think I over estimated the PW's offroad capabilities and the fun was soon swapped with stripping down the airbox and drying the filter Laughing

Was all set for a damp ride - thought it felt a bit odd on the rear so nipped into my local shop:

https://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd289/lozstlouis/3b821f6f-db6e-4fd6-b909-a9bbc24c7672_zpsfc0b02c9.jpg

Wheel off...

https://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd289/lozstlouis/1A250C88-CB15-49D3-B857-165B6956D9F1-677-00000034C4DB2F36_zpsad1cc999.jpg

And some many pounds later I am back at home with a new 023 on the rear! Screw was poking out the tyre & it was deflating. Also quite worn so sod it. New boot. Couldn't quite stretch to a matching front (an 021). Need some dry weather now so i can scrub it in a bit!

https://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd289/lozstlouis/0417D436-83C8-4F4E-B94C-DFF79025D33D-677-00000034B9BA1A55_zps3f3d5c41.jpg

You can see I rode home bolt upright!!!

Left for a ride out with my mate on his Hornet at 6pm. Went over to Haytor then decided we'd pop off to Avon Dam. Lovely evening! Very Happy

Bike is leaning over a bit as the stand sunk a little into the grass!

Went out yesterday to enjoy the Bank Holiday sunshine, we rode the shit out of some nice twisties and played with a Ferrari then parked up outside a beer festival. Burgers and music in the sun!

Then I got to have a go on a Ducati Hypermotard!

Went off to Slayley forrest with a mate, nearly killed the KLE. Thought I'd be clever going through a deep puddle in 2nd, well lost the front end half way through, tried to put my foot down and slipped which made me full throttle it out of the puddle into a hedge Embarassed Didn't come off though Dance! After that we did the Hartside pass and headed home through Durham and found other random green lanes.

He's got a ZX6R, same as mine but the incorrect colour. They are stupendously good all rounders. I've not done a 500 mile day on mine jet, I think my max is about 300 so far but would do further if I had to...not that it would be enjoyable on any bike.

Yeah it's a ZX6R in the nicest colour available Wink

530 miles is the longest I've ever done in one day. I enjoyed it very much Thumbs Up

Last July I did 450 miles in one day. It was from Northampton to Fort William.

ZX6R J2 is a comfy mile-muncher. I wish I had ZX-12R though Razz
