I believe it's a She (I was the first to suggest 'Mr', my apologies... this is the first female..... HG Manager I have seen  , so you'll have to forgive my stereotype), also I expect if it is the manager, they do get a cut of the sales.
Anyway, I'm not sure anyone's really getting too emotive about it.
As a moderator, it's interesting to see people's opinions, though the idea is to ignore them  .
Personally I'd much prefer that they do publish it as blatant spam (but in the right spam), rather than pretending to be a random person who happens to be informing us of the great deal they randomly found; I'd find that a lot more distasteful. |

omg how much reaction has this post created......
all we are trying to do is let people know we have a genuine bargain in a time where money is very tight for most of us who work for a living.if you think we make a big profit on a set of leathers for £150 then think again.
why cant it be taken in the manner it was intended to.
we dont make a personal gain from it and as you all know there are shops all over the country..
we have used this forum before for other things so this is not our first post just to try and sell you a set of leathers..we know about forum etiquette ...
if we caused offence apologies .

I think the problem is, you are getting free advertising by just posting a thread about your shops sale items, while other companys have to pay for advertising.
Why do you feel you should advertise for free?

I beleive the news letter was miss printed

It makes me smile watching people moan about a spam thread and continually opening the thread to moan about it.
Am I the only one who can see the irony? Is it not a little bit pathetic arguing in vivid detail about whether somebody has spammed a massive forum?
Same avatars and user names still doing the same whining LOL.  |
