Although you probably don't feel it, you've gotten off pretty lightly by the look of things. My first bike was written off after crashing (SMIDSY) at approx 30mph.
Looks like your side case worked better than some crash bungs
Any idea what you hit and are you okay? Apart from being a little pi$$ed off no doubt. |

nope, but it was a rough single track road covered in crap. Not paying enough attention.
I've got off very lightly. In the first pic, the bash plate under the engine took most of the hit, and is a little scraped, however 15 minutes in the garage with a file and you can hardly tell now. Front brake pedal was also slightly ground down, but again, 5 minutes with a small file and you can hardly tell.
I've taken the side case off, and left only the top one for the moment.
I'm just trying to find the brake pedal part number in the catalogue, and if I order tomorrow, it should be here for Tuesday.
I rode home afterwards, so its not too bad, although I expect my shoulder, which took most of the force of the landing may be a little stiff tomorrow, and I need to decide what helmet I fancy. ____________________ Fisty: after polishing the tank with the glistenng beads of sweat from my full hot scrotum, I filled the headrace bearings with 10cc of my manmilk |

Aye...It's always the next day that it gets you. I felt fine after my off, until I tried to lift my head off the pillow the following morning. I literally had to put my hands around the back of my head to lift it up.
Glad you and the bike are pretty much okay.
Did your lid take much of a knock or could you just replace the visor? Then again, with the price of visors, you may as well get a new lid I suppose. It's a perfectly good excuse for one anyway. |

Lowsided my newly acquired second-hand SH300 about 5 miles after putting new tyres on it. I got it on video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmJtMxvXsyo
I suspect some oil on the corner contributed - there's a bit of a trail leading up to it - and I probably leaned a little too far too soon for new tyres. You can see the front slip before hearing the scraping noise from the centrestand.
A few light scratches on the fairing and a bent brake lever is the extent of the damage. A mild bruise to my ankle (in padded street boots - not too bad), and some muscle pain in my shoulder is about it for me. Speed through the corner not very fast, about the best you could expect for an accident really, apart from a soft landing in grass. ____________________ Bikes: S1000R, SH350; Exes: Vity 125, PS125, YBR125, ER6f, VFR800, Brutale 920, CB600F, SH300x4

Fell over at low speed in a carpark.
Wet morning, wasnt on form riding in, had a few iffy moments of my own doing. Made it to work safely and as I pulled in to the tarmac moss covered car park (which I know is slippery) I grabbed my front brake for some unknown reason (most probably because I am a bellend).
Kathunk. What a lemon
Broke my front brake lever and the pedal for the rear brake is pushed right up. Also have a leg covered in petrol as I only filled up this morning and I was wiggling under the bike for 5 minutes. Its going to be a long petrol smelling day |

No number? I want a number I was hoping to avoid the thread this year...
I hit some ice tonight on way home from visiting my nan. Front wheel went in every direction other than backwards and I slid along the road on my tits. Gear is good, only elbow bruised/twisted. Front fairing smashed** and front brake lever obliterated. Frame some minor scratches that will polish out
** Again. I only done a fibreglass repair two weeks ago, which I was quite proud of. That means I will need to fit the new fairing to commute, while I make the broken spares (2) serviceable. Its white ABS and will look shit |

Is the spill counter particularly high this year (know I could check but effort)?
Seems like there has been a fair few, and some of the more experienced ones too. ____________________ Yamaha MT-03 '08 (crashed)
